The Siliguri Strikers made major additions to their squad during the Bengal T20 League Men’s Auction, with Indian pacer Mohammad Shami emerging as the headline signing ahead of the upcoming season.

The franchise also secured all-rounder Karan Lal after an intense bidding contest and added Bengal fast bowler Ishan Porel to strengthen the pace attack.

In addition, Akash Deep, who has been associated with the franchise since the inaugural season, continues with the team, giving the Strikers an experienced core in their bowling department.

Servotech Sports Director Rishabh Bhatia said the franchise aimed to build a balanced squad combining experienced performers with emerging talent. Team strategist Chetanya Nanda said the management entered the auction with a clear strategy focused on versatility and match-winning ability.

The Bengal T20 League auction included players from A+, A, B, U19 and U16 categories as part of the league’s effort to strengthen Bengal’s cricket ecosystem by blending established cricketers with young prospects.

The full Siliguri Strikers squad includes Shivamm Bharati, Pramod Chandila, Kaushik Maiti, Badal Singh Balyan, Aakash Das, Aditya Singh, Shashi Shankar Singh, Ishan Porel, Akash Deep, Vishal Bhati, Mohammad Shami, Karan Lal, Sudip Chatterjee, Abhishek Bose, Snehashish Saha and Geet Puri.
