In a thrilling display of strength, precision, and composure, India’s Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra once again soared to greatness, clinching first place at the Paris Diamond League 2025 with a stellar throw of 88.16 meters, his best performance of the season. The event, held late into the night, sent waves of celebration across the country, even though fans were left disappointed by the lack of a live broadcast.

Chopra’s opening throw stunned competitors and audiences alike. Launching the javelin to 88.16 meters on his very first attempt, he immediately seized the top spot, one he would hold onto until the end. Despite fierce competition, no one could dethrone the Indian star.

Germany’s Julian Weber gave Chopra a tough fight with a powerful throw of 87.88 meters, securing second place. Brazil’s Luiz da Silva followed in third with an 86.62-meter effort, completing a high-voltage podium.

Back home, Indian fans lit up social media in celebration. On X (formerly Twitter), users hailed Chopra’s incredible form. One enthusiast declared, “Neeraj’s 90.23m this season proves he's unmatched!”.  Though that mark wasn’t from tonight, the praise reflected the season-long admiration. Another fan called the throw a symbol of “Indian javelin’s rise to new heights.” Others praised Chopra’s dedication and called for better live broadcast facilities, lamenting the lack of real-time viewing for such a monumental moment.
