Ahmedabad
A cricket academy backed by Sachin Tendulkar is set to begin operations in Ahmedabad on April 10, offering advanced training facilities and mentorship from former Indian players.
The SRT10 Altevol Centre of Excellence Cricket Academy, which was initially scheduled to launch last year, will now open with a structured training programme focusing on technique, fitness, and overall player development for aspirants aged five and above.
Situated at Shankus Farm near Vaishnodevi Circle on SG Road, the facility will feature professional practice nets, a match-ready ground, a high-performance gym, and a running track.
The initiative builds on the existing SRT10 Global Academy, which is already operational at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
The academy is being developed in collaboration with Altevol Sports Academy and the Shankus Group, bringing a multi-sport training perspective. A team of former first-class and international cricketers will mentor trainees, while coaches have been specially trained under the SRT10 methodology to maintain global standards.
