Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the world’s largest contract chipmaker, reported strong revenue growth for April 2026, supported by sustained global demand for advanced semiconductor technologies and artificial intelligence applications.

According to the company’s latest monthly revenue statement, TSMC posted consolidated revenue of NT$410.73 billion (approximately USD 13.1 billion) in April, reflecting a 17.5 per cent increase compared with the same month last year.

On a month-on-month basis, however, April revenue edged down 1.1 per cent from NT$415.19 billion (around USD 13.2 billion) recorded in March 2026.

For the first four months of 2026, the Taiwanese chipmaker reported cumulative revenue of NT$1.544 trillion (approximately USD 49.2 billion), representing a robust 29.9 per cent year-on-year increase.

The strong annual growth underscores continued global demand for high-performance computing chips, AI accelerators and next-generation smartphone processors—segments in which TSMC remains a key supplier to several of the world’s leading technology companies.

TSMC continues to play a central role in the global semiconductor supply chain and has benefited from rising investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure, cloud computing platforms and large-scale data centre expansion.

The latest figures also highlight the resilience of Taiwan’s semiconductor industry despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, export restrictions and global efforts by multiple countries to diversify technology supply chains.
