Yemen’s Houthi rebels said Wednesday they have released the mariners captured in their July attack on the ship Eternity C in the Red Sea. The crew has been handed over to Oman and is en route to the sultanate, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

Oman has not yet confirmed the transfer, though a Royal Oman Air Force aircraft landed in Houthi-held Sanaa earlier in the day. The Philippines had said Tuesday it expected its detained sailors to be freed.
