The Iranian military on Thursday issued a sharp response to recent remarks by Donald Trump, warning that the ongoing conflict would continue until the United States faces what it described as “lasting humiliation and surrender,” according to state media reports.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters rejected Washington’s claims of having weakened Iran’s military capabilities. The spokesperson asserted that US assessments of Iran’s defence strength are “incomplete” and fail to capture the country’s full strategic capacity.

Dismissing Trump’s claims that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities had been significantly reduced, the spokesperson said the US lacks a clear understanding of Iran’s military infrastructure. He maintained that key defence assets, including missile production facilities, advanced drones, air defence systems, and electronic warfare capabilities, remain intact and operational.

The statement also emphasised that many of Iran’s critical military installations are located in undisclosed sites, making it difficult for adversaries to accurately assess or target them.

Accusing the United States of initiating hostilities, the Iranian military vowed continued retaliation. The spokesperson warned that further attacks would follow, describing them as “decisive and damaging responses” to what Iran considers acts of aggression.

The remarks came after Trump, in a recent national address, praised the US military’s actions against Iran, calling them decisive and claiming that the campaign’s objectives were close to being achieved. He asserted that Iran’s naval and air capabilities had been severely degraded and that its ability to deploy missiles and drones had been significantly curtailed.

Trump also claimed that key weapons facilities had been destroyed and said the United States was gaining a strong advantage in the conflict.
