Washington DC
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday once again asserted that his administration has played a decisive role in resolving multiple global conflicts, claiming credit for restoring American strength and bringing peace to key regions, including West Asia.
Addressing the nation, Trump said his leadership had led to the settlement of eight wars within ten months and the conclusion of the conflict in Gaza. “I rebuilt American strength, resolved eight wars in ten months, eliminated the Iranian nuclear threat and ended the war in Gaza, bringing peace to the Middle East for the first time in 3,000 years, while securing the return of hostages, both living and deceased,” he said.
The President also announced a special financial incentive for members of the US armed forces. He said more than 1.45 million service personnel would receive a one-time “warrior dividend” ahead of Christmas. “Every soldier will be sent $1,776, in tribute to the year 1776 when our nation was founded,” Trump said.
On the economic front, Trump said he would soon nominate a new Chair of the Federal Reserve, adding that the choice would be “someone who strongly supports much lower interest rates.” He expressed confidence that the United States was on the brink of unprecedented economic growth.
Claiming success in tackling inflation, Trump said his administration had sharply reduced the cost of essential items. He blamed previous Democratic leadership for rising grocery prices but said the situation had now improved. “The price of a Thanksgiving turkey is down by 33 per cent compared to last year, and egg prices have fallen by 82 per cent since March,” he stated.
Trump also spoke about healthcare, arguing that funds currently used for insurance subsidies should be redirected directly to citizens rather than insurance companies.
On immigration, the President reiterated his hardline stance, singling out Minnesota and alleging that Somali migrants had gained disproportionate economic influence in the state, which is home to the largest Somali-American population in the country. He said governance must prioritise “productive, patriotic and hardworking Americans” rather than those who, in his words, violate laws or exploit the system.

Concluding his address, Trump invited tourists from around the world to visit the United States in 2026, highlighting two major upcoming events — the FIFA World Cup and celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
