US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (local time) extended Christmas greetings while launching a sharp political attack on what he termed the “Radical Left Scum”, asserting that their attempts to “destroy” the country were failing under his leadership.
In a post on X, Trump claimed the United States no longer faced issues such as open borders, weak law enforcement, or policies allowing men to compete in women’s sports. He also highlighted what he described as strong economic indicators and improved national security.
Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is a Record Stock…

“Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly,” Trump wrote, adding that the country now enjoys a “record stock market and 401Ks, lowest crime numbers in decades, no inflation,” and GDP growth of 4.3 per cent, which he said exceeded expectations by two percentage points.
The President also credited tariffs for generating “trillions of dollars in growth and prosperity” and claimed the US now has the “strongest national security we have ever had,” adding that the country is “respected again, perhaps like never before.”
This is not the first time Trump has used Christmas greetings to air political views. In his 2024 message, he referred to his opponents as “Radical Left Lunatics” and criticised former President Joe Biden over pardons issued toward the end of his tenure.
Meanwhile, during the annual NORAD Santa Tracker calls on Christmas Eve, Trump told children that the US military tracks Santa Claus to ensure he is “being good” and not allowing a “bad Santa” to infiltrate the country.

Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in the calls while vacationing at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Since 1955, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has tracked Santa’s journey across the globe as part of a long-standing Christmas tradition.
