Buying an expensive Luxury car is the dream of many. Nurul Haque of Assam also has such a dream. The only difference between him and the others is that he made one that at least looks like  a ‘Lamborghini,’ one of the most expensive cars in the world.

Nurul Haq’s passion for the fastest cars comes from his fondness of fast and action films like Tarzan, he also thought of riding a sports car.

Nurul Haque, 31, a motor mechanic who runs a motor garage in Bhanga Bazar area of ​​Karimganj district of Assam. He learned the art of repairing cars from his father who had a garage in Dimapur, Nagaland. Nurul Haq lived there with his father for about 20 years and opened his garage on return to Assam.

Nurul Haque says, “It was my dream to drive a luxury car. I love Lamborghini.”

One day he decided to make the car of his dreams. "At the time of Coronavirus, the lockdown came in handy for this work. It took him eight months and about six and a half lakh rupees to build the car. Much of it was spent on buying engines and raw materials.

He first bought a used Maruti Swift car and separated its chassis and the body. He continued to watch videos related to sports car manufacturing on the internet. In those videos, he was infatuated with the Italian Lamborghini.

Haq worked continuously for eight months to complete the project. The workshop was closed due to the lockdown and therefore he had plenty of time.

Haq says he made parts of Lamborghini after watching the videos.  He knew that buying a sports car like Lamborghini is beyond his reach.

When Nurul Haque’s Lamborghini was ready he shared its pictures on social media. His posts went viral with people profusely praising him for daring to dream big. People could hardly believe a modest motor mechanic could build a foreign sports car. He says people come to him to take a selfie with the car.

Haq has now become a local celebrity.

Haq's spirits are high. He has already started work on his next dream project: making a Ferrari. He is busy researching its design and budget.

Nurul Haq however faces a dilemma; he is unable to drive his car. It looks like a foreign brand and there is a different set of rules for owning and driving an imported car. He fears the Police might seize his car and arrest him if drives it on the roads

Haq wishes to drive his car all over Assam provided the government allows him. However, he has not sent any request letter to the government in this regard so far.

Nurul Haque says he would sell his car only to a person who is a car lover. Though he didn’t make the car for sale, he says, he is offered a price he may not mind selling it. He has put a price tag on his car because it’s born out of his love for vehicles.
