Syed Naseruddin Chishty, Chairman, All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council (AISSC), undertook an outreach programme in Kerala, where he engaged diverse sections of society with messages of peace, communal harmony, Sufi values, women’s empowerment, and social responsibility.

On 6 September, at Varavoor, more than 1,000 men and women attended the programme. It was presided over by Abdul Saboor, General Secretary, AISSC and Kerala State Vice President.

Syed Naseruddin Chishty, who addressed the meeting, spoke on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, Sufism, communal harmony, and social responsibility.

The next day at Escola International School, a highly ranked Islamic school in Calicut, Syed Naseruddin Chishty spoke to a gathering of 500 girl students from Classes VIII to XII.

The session focused on women’s empowerment, the role of women in society, education, leadership, and nation-building.

The session saw young girls asking questions to the Sufi leader.

Here, the AISSC initiative “Mera Mulk Meri Pehchan” received an enthusiastic response, with the slogan echoing throughout the hall.

The same day, the “Tu Kuja Man Kuja” programme in Calicut brought together a select gathering of scholars, dignitaries, members of the Syed Panakkad family, social leaders, and prominent members of the business community.

The meeting led to a valuable interaction with the highly placed and influential members of Kerala society.

The programme highlighted the true teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad, communal harmony, women’s empowerment, and the importance of peace and social responsibility.

The Kerala outreach received positive attention through social media and local print media and helped in strengthening AISSC’s mission of promoting peace, harmony, responsible citizenship, women’s empowerment, and national unity through “Mera Mulk Meri Pehchan.”
