The National Testing Agency on Monday said NEET-UG 2026 was conducted under a “full security protocol” and that it is cooperating closely with investigating agencies amid reports of alleged irregularities being probed by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate medical admissions was conducted by the NTA on May 3.

In a post on X on Sunday, the agency said question papers were transported in GPS-tracked vehicles equipped with unique and traceable watermark identifiers, while examination centres were monitored through AI-assisted CCTV surveillance from a central control room.

The NTA said biometric verification of all candidates was carried out and 5G jammers were deployed at examination centres to maintain the integrity of the process.

“The examination process itself proceeded as planned across all centres on the day,” the agency said.

According to the NTA, inputs regarding alleged malpractice were received on the late evening of May 7—four days after the examination—and were escalated to central agencies the next morning for independent verification and necessary action.

The agency said recent action by law enforcement authorities, including detentions reported in the media, was the result of the “professional and timely work” of investigating agencies.

NTA said it is extending full cooperation by providing examination-related data and technical assistance required for the investigation.

It added that the matter remains under investigation and that it would not pre-judge the inquiry or speculate on its outcome.

The agency said any findings that warrant further action would be examined transparently in consultation with the Ministry of Education and disclosed according to established procedures.
