Ahead of the CBSE, ICSE and various state board examinations, students across the country have welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice on stress management, learning and exam preparation shared during the 9th edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on Friday.

Students said the annual interaction helped them gain confidence and adopt a positive outlook towards examinations.

Tanu Aditya, a Class 10 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gwalior, said the Prime Minister encouraged students to treat examinations as a celebration rather than a source of fear.

“Through the 9th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, PM Modi guided us not to be afraid of exams but to celebrate them like festivals. He explained that exams are only meant to assess our learning and should not cause stress. He also motivated us to support friends who find studies difficult and learn from those who are better than us,” she told ANI.

Rishad Saliah, a Class 11 student, said he appreciated the Prime Minister’s emphasis on balancing academic scores with practical skills.

“PM Modi highlighted that focusing only on marks and ignoring skills leads to problems like unemployment. He clearly said that both marks and skills are equally important in today’s world,” Saliah said.

Students from other states also shared similar views. Nobonita Ghosh, a student from Tripura, said the programme left a strong impact on her.

“I felt very happy after watching the programme. It was a wonderful experience to see it along with Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha,” she said.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the Prime Minister boosted students’ confidence by offering simple yet effective guidance.

“He encourages students with small tips and inspires holistic development. Students across the country were eagerly waiting for Pariksha Pe Charcha. It serves as a guiding light ahead of examinations,” Pradhan told ANI.

Union Minister of State for Education Jayant Chaudhary also praised the Prime Minister’s communication style.

“The Prime Minister has a very engaging way of expressing himself. The students who participated were extremely curious and keen to learn from him,” Chaudhary said.

Prime Minister Modi interacted with select “exam warriors” during the programme held at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi.

The 2026 edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha focused on reducing exam stress and encouraging students to prioritise learning over pressure.

In a post on X earlier, PM Modi said the programme highlights the importance of staying stress-free and enjoying the learning process, adding that interacting with young minds is one of the most fulfilling aspects of the initiative.
