Mumbai
In the run-up to its theatrical release, the team behind Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda, hosted a special screening in Mumbai for the film’s cast and their family members.
Several prominent film personalities attended the event. Actor Akshay Kumar arrived with his sister Alka Bhatia to cheer for his niece’s debut project. Akshay appeared relaxed and cheerful as he posed for photographers, with the sibling duo sharing warm moments together on the red carpet. Akshay’s niece Simar Bhatia, daughter of Alka Bhatia, was also present at the screening.
Members of the Bachchan family were among the attendees as well. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda turned up to lend their support to Agastya Nanda ahead of the film’s release. Ikkis marks Agastya’s first appearance on the big screen and makes him the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan to debut in cinema.
The makers recently released a new trailer for the film, featuring powerful battlefield visuals. A notable moment in the trailer shows Dharmendra’s character reflecting on Arun’s legacy, remarking that he will “always be 21.”
At the music launch of the film, Agastya Nanda was visibly emotional. Speaking to the media, he described the experience as deeply moving and said it was a “huge privilege” to share screen space with Dharmendra, recalling how the veteran actor had worked with multiple generations of his family.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is a war biopic based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film also features Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher and Rahul Dev in key roles.
