As the famous saying goes by "Khat ka Mazmoon Bhap lete hain Lifafa Dekh Kar" which roughly translates as 'being able to understand a situation without it being explicitly said'. The same seems happening for Ranbir and Alia's rumoured wedding ceremony. Though the couple is tight lipped about the whole affair, the papparazi and social media are doing their best to unearth the details of the otherwise coveted event. 

In an interview given to an Indian news channel on release of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia had explicitly said, "I am already married to Ranbir in my head" whereas Ranbir in another such interview had said that, "If Covid wasn't there I'd been married by now..". 

Well the couple seems to be working on the same as all ceremonies are slated to start on Wednesday with mehendi ceremony, that will be held at Vastu, the apartment complex in Mumbai's Pali Hills where the couple live. According to various media outlets a pooja was held  in the presence of immediate family and after lunch, at around 2pm, the mehendi ceremony is said to begin. The intimate affair will be attended by only close family and friends. No other engagements are scheduled for the day; some of Ranbir and Alia's close friends are expected to visit. 

Ayan Mukerji, who directs them in Brahmastra, was spotted at Vastu last night. Sources close to the family confirmed to media outlets that Thursday is when wedding takes place. It is set to  take place at their flat in Vastu building at 3 pm. This will also be just for close family and friends. The couple wanted to keep their wedding a private affair; Ranbir is known to be a very private person and that's also how Alia would like her wedding ceremony to be - just with family members and close friends. Vastu has been buzzing with activity this week, with tables being unloaded and deliveries of crockery and Sabyasachi carry bags. The apartment complex has been screened off with cloth but paparazzi captured police arriving yesterday, reportedly to review security arrangements.

Cameras also caught a glimpse into the apartment where the ceremonies will be held, the interior has been decorated with lights. In addition to Vastu, the Kapoor's family home - Krishna Raj Bungalow - and RK Studios have also been lit up. Krishna Raj, which is under construction, is reportedly where Alia and Ranbir will live once married. On Tuesday evening, Ranbir Kapoor's sister Riddhima and her family - husband Bharat Sahni and daughter Samara - were pictured at Mumbai airport, having flown in from New Delhi where they live.

Reportedly a sum of Rs 1 lakh has been set aside for joota chori rasam.  Media sources claimed, “Mostly Alia’s girl gang will be in charge of stealing Ranbir’s shoes. A budget of one lakh has been kept aside for the same.”

Alia and Ranbir are seem to be breaking the trend by having not opted for mehendi artists and photographers that have been in the news for other celeb weddings. It said that celebrity mehendi artist Veena Nagda, who had applied mehendi at Katrina Kaif and Shahid Kapoor’s sister Sanah Kapoor’s wedding, has not been roped in for the ceremony. Instead, the actress has reached out to a different artist.

“Even the photographers are someone Grishma Shah, (Alia’s manager) and Alia have chosen, who have not done any celeb weddings yet. As for the mandap, a female set designer has been brought on board,” the insider said. According to the papparazi the Ranbir plans on gifting a ‘custom-made a wedding band’ to Alia. The report claimed that the ring has 8 diamonds encrusted on it. Ranbir’s close friend revealed that Ranbir placed the order for the custom-made ring via a friend and had hand-picked the diamonds for his bride-to-be.

It is also reported that Ranbir will take a week-long break after the wedding festivities wrap. Ranbir, who has been busy with the making of his untitled Luv Ranjan movie with Shraddha Kapoor, will be taking a seven-day break before he leaves for Manali for a two-day schedule shoot.

As of now, there is no plan for a reception but there could be one big Bollywood style bash later this month once both Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have completed their work commitments. Next month, Alia also leaves for the schedule of Heart of Stone, her Hollywood film with Gal Gadot.
