The trailer of Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, was unveiled on Monday, offering a glimpse into a horror-comedy packed with nostalgia, slapstick humour and supernatural thrills.
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and veteran actor Asrani. The film is set to hit theatres on April 16.
The three-minute trailer opens with the legend of a powerful demon, Vadhusur, who resurfaces after a thousand years. The story then shifts to a lavish bungalow that appears to be haunted, drawing in Akshay Kumar’s character, who is determined to sell the property despite growing paranormal disturbances.
As strange and eerie events unfold inside the house, Paresh Rawal’s character warns of the looming danger. The trailer highlights comic exchanges between the lead actors, evoking the classic humour seen in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Phir Hera Pheri.
The film also stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi and Mithila Palkar, with Tabu’s brief appearance in the trailer hinting at a layered and intriguing role.
Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, the film is produced by Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor.
