Actor Bobby Deol’s much-anticipated film Bandar is all set for its theatrical release on May 22, 2026. Directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, the film has already earned praise on the international festival circuit.
Bobby took to Instagram on Friday to share the release date with his fans, confirming that the critically acclaimed project will arrive in cinemas this May. Bandar, inspired by true events, had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2025, where it drew significant appreciation from critics and audiences.
Bobby was last seen in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by A M Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi, starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead.
With a career spanning over three decades, Bobby began as a romantic hero in the 1990s with Barsaat and went on to star in hits such as Gupt: The Hidden Truth, Soldier, Humraaz, and Ajnabee. After navigating a challenging phase, he revived his career with projects like Apne, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Housefull 4.

In 2023, he made a strong comeback with Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor and continued his streak with impactful performances in Aashram and The Ba**ds of Bollywood* on Netflix.
Up next, Bobby will appear in Jana Nayagan, starring Vijay. The trailer hints at Bobby portraying the primary antagonist, who vows to eliminate Vijay’s character within 30 days. The film, however, is awaiting certification clearance and an official release date.
