Filmmaker Milap Zaveri on Tuesday extended a warm birthday wish to actor John Abraham, thanking him for reviving his career with Satyameva Jayate.
Sharing a photograph with the actor on Instagram, Zaveri wrote that Abraham had “resurrected” him with the 2018 action film and said he would remain forever grateful. In a lighter note, he described the actor as strong yet kind-hearted, calling him his “hero”.
Zaveri and Abraham have collaborated on the Satyameva Jayate franchise, with the first film releasing in 2018 and its sequel in 2021. Satyameva Jayate 2 was produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment and also featured Divya Khosla Kumar.
On the professional front, Abraham had two releases this year — The Diplomat and Tehran. Directed by Arun Gopalan, Tehran is a fictionalised political thriller inspired by real events and set against the backdrop of tensions between Israel and Iran. The film also stars Manushi Chhillar, Neeru Bajwa and Madhurina Tuli.
