Samsung's next budget 5G smartphone, the Galaxy A18, has surfaced in a fresh leak, offering an early look at its design and expected specifications. Newly leaked computer-aided design (CAD) renders suggest the upcoming handset will retain much of the look of its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 5G, while introducing a few subtle cosmetic changes.
The leaked renders, shared by Smartphone Checker in collaboration with tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), indicate that Samsung is sticking with its familiar design language for the Galaxy A series. The phone is expected to feature a flat rear panel with a vertically aligned triple-camera setup housed inside a pill-shaped camera island. Unlike the Galaxy A17 5G, however, the camera module is tipped to match the colour of the phone's rear panel instead of using a contrasting black finish.
An LED flash is expected to sit beside the camera unit, while Samsung's branding is likely to remain centred near the bottom of the back panel.
On the front, the Galaxy A18 is said to sport a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera, along with slim bezels surrounding the display. The power button and volume rocker are expected to be positioned on the right edge, while the bottom frame could house a USB Type-C port, speaker grille and microphone.
According to the leak, the smartphone may measure 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84mm, making it marginally thicker than the Galaxy A17 5G, which measured 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5mm.
In terms of hardware, the Galaxy A18 is tipped to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While Samsung is yet to reveal the processor, reports suggest the device could be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset instead of the Exynos processor used in its predecessor.

For reference, the Galaxy A17 5G, launched in India in August 2025, debuted at Rs. 18,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It came equipped with Samsung's Exynos 1330 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, and a triple rear camera system led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy A18 or its specifications. As with all pre-launch leaks, the final design and hardware could differ when the smartphone is formally unveiled.
