New Delhi
Once you experience the difference an air purifier can make to your sleep and overall well-being, it becomes hard to go without one. After noticing a clear improvement in my sleep quality, I began exploring options that suit Indian homes and pollution conditions. My search recently led me to Hero Group’s Qubo range, and after using the Qubo Q500 air purifier for over a month, here’s a detailed look at how it performs.
Built for Larger Spaces
The Qubo Q500 is designed to handle medium to large rooms with ease. With a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 350 m³/h, it can efficiently refresh the air in spaces measuring up to 500 sq. ft. This makes it suitable for living rooms, master bedrooms, or even compact office areas where air circulation needs to be quick and effective.
Four-Stage Filtration System
The purifier uses a multi-layer filtration setup that claims to remove up to 99.99 per cent of airborne pollutants. The system is engineered to tackle everything from visible dust to microscopic particles:
Pre-filter to trap hair, pet fur, and larger dust particles
Nano-silver antibacterial layer to curb bacterial and viral growth
True HEPA H13 filter that captures ultrafine particles, including pollen, smoke, and PM0.1 pollutants
Activated carbon filter to absorb odours, VOCs, and cooking fumes
AI-Driven Air Management
One of the Q500’s standout features is Qubo’s in-house QSensAI technology. Instead of operating at a constant speed, the purifier uses real-time PM2.5 sensors to adjust its performance automatically. It powers up when air quality deteriorates and scales down once the air improves. Users can also fine-tune pollution thresholds through the Qubo app, allowing for more personalised control.
Smart Features and App Control
The Qubo Q500 fits well into a smart home ecosystem. Through the mobile app, users can schedule operations, monitor air quality, and control the device remotely. It also supports voice commands via Alexa and Google Assistant, making everyday use more convenient.
Quiet and Practical Design
Powered by a BLDC motor, the purifier keeps noise levels under control, reaching up to 55 dB at its highest setting. The dedicated Sleep Mode lowers fan speed and dims indicator lights, making it suitable for overnight use without disturbing sleep.

Points to Consider
Weighing just 4 kg, the Q500 is easy to move between rooms. While the build feels solid, the plastic exterior does not offer a particularly premium look. Also, when the AI mode detects sudden changes in air quality, the fan can ramp up quickly, which may feel loud at night. Using Sleep Mode during bedtime helps avoid this issue.
Another limitation is the auto-off timer, which maxes out at eight hours. Additionally, replacement filters can be difficult to source during peak pollution seasons, so keeping a spare filter is advisable.

Final Verdict
The Qubo Q500 delivers strong performance where it matters most—air purification. Its combination of high CADR, HEPA H13 filtration, and intelligent automation makes it a reliable option for tackling indoor pollution. Currently priced at Rs 12,490 on Flipkart, it offers good value for those looking for an efficient, largely hands-free air purifier for urban living.
