Ayodhya today stands immersed in devotion and celebration as the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple commemorates the second anniversary of the historic Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla. The sacred city, revered as the birthplace of Lord Ram, witnessed an outpouring of spiritual fervour as devotees from across the country gathered to mark a milestone that continues to shape India’s cultural and religious narrative.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony held two years ago was not just a religious event but a defining moment in India’s civilisational journey. It symbolised the culmination of decades of faith, perseverance and collective resolve. Since then, the Ram Temple has emerged as a powerful emblem of unity, heritage and spiritual revival, drawing millions of pilgrims to Ayodhya from India and abroad.
On the special occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, describing the anniversary as a “divine festival of our faith and traditions.” In his message, the Prime Minister said the Ram Temple reflects India’s timeless values and spiritual strength, inspiring harmony and righteousness in society.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his wishes, calling the anniversary a moment of pride and reverence for every Indian. He said the consecration of Ram Lalla reaffirmed the nation’s deep-rooted cultural ethos and continues to guide the country on the path of duty and moral responsibility.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who has played a central role in the transformation of Ayodhya, termed the anniversary a historic celebration of Sanatan culture. Extending greetings to devotees, he said the Ram Temple stands as a symbol of faith, good governance and cultural renaissance, adding that Ayodhya has emerged as a global spiritual destination over the past two years.
The temple complex witnessed special prayers, aartis and Vedic rituals from the early hours of the day. The air echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” while thousands of lamps illuminated the premises, creating a deeply spiritual ambience. Devotees described the celebrations as emotionally uplifting, recalling the historic day of the Pran Pratishtha and its enduring significance.
Beyond its religious importance, the anniversary also underscores Ayodhya’s remarkable transformation. Enhanced infrastructure, improved connectivity and extensive beautification have redefined the city while preserving its sacred character. The Ram Temple has become a major centre of spiritual tourism, contributing to economic growth and employment in the region.
