Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday inaugurated the ₹83-crore Jamunamukh railway overbridge in Hojai district. The 951-metre bridge is expected to improve connectivity between Dabaka, Kampur and Jamunamukh.
Sarma also virtually inaugurated a model high school at Balijuri Tea Estate and several community halls and skill centres in tea estate areas. He laid foundation stones for new school buildings and multiple flood-protection and road projects under the Nagaon Water Resources Division.

He said flood-hit areas like Kampur and Jamunamukh will benefit from water resources projects worth around ₹80 crore. Sarma added that schemes such as Orunodoi, Ayushman Bharat, and subsidised rations are providing relief to poor and middle-class families.
