Narendra Modi on Saturday conducted a roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections.

Large numbers of supporters gathered along the route, turning out to show backing for the party. The event was attended by Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Vattiyoorkavu constituency candidate R Sreelekha, among other party leaders.

Earlier in the day, addressing a public meeting in Thiruvalla, the Prime Minister expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would form the government in Kerala. He said there were clear signs of growing public support across the state, particularly among women.

Modi asserted that Kerala is on the verge of a major political shift, claiming that voters are ready to bring an end to the long-standing rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF). He also pointed to the strong turnout at campaign events as evidence of changing political sentiment.

Referring to grassroots mobilisation, the Prime Minister highlighted his interaction with party workers under the “Mera Booth Sabse Mazboot” initiative, noting that thousands of karyakartas across the state had conveyed optimism about the party’s prospects.

He further emphasised the central government’s role in supporting Kerala’s development, stating that funding allocations to the state had significantly increased under his administration compared to previous governments.
