Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar visited several key heritage and cultural sites in Hyderabad on Saturday, accompanied by members of his family.
After arriving in the city from Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh, Kumar was accorded a ceremonial reception at the historic Golconda Fort. Officials from the Archaeological Survey of India briefed him on the fort’s rich history, architectural features and its significance in the region’s past, according to an official release.
Following the Golconda visit, the Chief Election Commissioner proceeded to Hussain Sagar, where he also visited the iconic Buddha statue situated at the centre of the lake.
Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana C Sudarshan Reddy, along with Additional CEO Lokesh Kumar, Deputy CEO Satyavani and other senior election department officials, accompanied Kumar during his visit to Hussain Sagar.

As per the release, the CEC is scheduled to address Booth Level Officers (BLOs) from across Telangana at the Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium on Sunday, as part of his official engagements in the state.
