Harish Rawat who led the Congress challenge in Uttarakhand was trailing BJP’s Dr Mohan Singh Bisht by 13,893 votes in Lalkuwa constituency while Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was trailing Bhuwan Chandra Kapri of the Congress by 2,287 votes in Khatima constituency.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath was leading by 22,363 votes over his Samajwadi Party rival Subhawati Shukla in Gorakhpur Urban seat as the BJP continued to march ahead towards a comfortable majority in the Assembly elections. In Karhal, Samajawadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav was leading by 29,136 votes over BJP’s Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel.

In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann was leading by 45,091 votes over Dalvir Singh Goldy of the Congress.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was trailing in both seats. He was trailing AAP’s Labh Singh Ugoke in Bhadaur constituency by 14,331 votes and was behind Charanjit Singh in Chamkaur Sahib by 2,473 votes.

Punjab’s Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu was trailing Aam Admi Party’s Jeevan Jyot Kaur by 2962 votes in Amritsar east.

Shiromani Akali Dal’s (SAD) Sukhbir Singh Badal was trailing Jagdish Kamboj of AAP by 10,526 votes in Jalalabad while his fatter and party patriarch Parkash Singh Badal was trailing AAP’s Gurmeet Singh Khudian by 8988 votes.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh who floated the Punjab Lok Congress Party after leaving the Congress last year lost to AAP’s Ajit Pal Singh Kohli by 19,873 votes in his stronghold of Patiala

In Goa, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was leading by 113 votes over Dharmesh Saglani of the Congress. Vijai Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party was leading by 872 votes over Damu G Naik of the BJP.

In Manipur, Chief Minister N Biren Singh was leading by 18271 votes over Pangeijam Saratchandra Singh of the Congress.
