Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in office, praising his leadership for prioritising welfare, good governance, and inclusive development.

In a post on X, Adityanath described Modi as the "world's most popular leader" and said the past 12 years under his leadership had transformed welfare schemes and public participation into instruments of "empowerment and nation-building".

"The welfare of the poor became a priority of governance during the Modi government, while the principle of 'Antyodaya' evolved into a force for self-reliance," he said.

Adityanath said the vision of the prime minister had helped shape a "New India" where women empowerment, innovation, economic progress and cultural resurgence were advancing together.

"India has emerged as a strong and reliable global power under Modi's leadership, while the country remained firm on border security, decisive against terrorism and confident on the world stage," he asserted.

Referring to the government's development agenda, the chief minister said the combination of digital expansion, demographic strength and democracy was accelerating the journey towards the vision of "Viksit Bharat 2047".

The chief minister highlighted flagship schemes such as the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala and SVANidhi, saying they had strengthened public trust by taking development benefits directly to people.
