Rajasthan continues to reel under cold wave conditions, with Sikar emerging as the coldest district at a chilly 2.5 degrees Celsius, the Meteorological Department reported on Thursday.
Other parts of the state also recorded low temperatures on Wednesday night, including Jaisalmer at 3.3°C, Mount Abu at 4.6°C, Jhunjhunu at 4.7°C, Sirohi at 4.9°C, Churu at 5.2°C, Fatehpur (Sikar) at 5.5°C, and Ganganagar at 5.6°C. In Jaipur, the maximum temperature reached 17.6°C, while the minimum dipped to 4.4°C.
The department has warned that minimum temperatures may fall further, leading to severe cold day conditions in isolated parts of eastern Rajasthan.
Over the past 24 hours, dense to very dense fog has been reported across several districts, and cold wave conditions continue to prevail in many regions. The weather is expected to remain dry throughout the state in the coming week.

Residents are advised to take precautions during early morning hours as dense fog and cold conditions may persist in some areas over the next few days.
