Condolences pour in from across party lines for Prateek Yadav's death

Condolences poured in from across the political spectrum on Wednesday following the death of Prateek Yadav, the younger son of late Mulayam Singh Yadav and stepbrother of Akhilesh Yadav.

Prateek, 38, reportedly fell ill suddenly and was rushed to a hospital in Lucknow in the early hours of Wednesday, where doctors declared him dead.

Among the first to react was Shivpal Singh Yadav, Prateek’s uncle, who described the loss as deeply painful and offered prayers for the departed soul.

Leaders from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also expressed their sympathies. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength during the difficult time.

Another Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, called the news deeply distressing and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

State BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary also expressed solidarity with the family, while former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh termed the development heartbreaking.

From the Congress, Uttar Pradesh unit president Ajay Rai mourned the sudden demise of the Yadav family member.

Babita Singh Chauhan, who visited Prateek’s residence to meet his wife Aparna Yadav, described his untimely passing as deeply saddening.

Briefly responding to questions from the media, Chauhan remarked that reports of young people succumbing to heart attacks had become increasingly distressing in recent times.
