Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi on Saturday presented a cheque of ₹1 crore to the family of CRPF jawan Mehulbhai Nandalalbhai Solanki, who was killed in an anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh in May last year.
Sanghavi met Solanki’s family at a ceremony held in Devgana village of Bhavnagar district and handed over the financial assistance to his mother, Nanuben Solanki.
Union Minister Nimuben Bambhaniya was also present at the event, officials said.
Solanki was martyred on May 22, 2025, after sustaining bullet injuries during an encounter with Naxalites in the Usur police station area of Bijapur district. A native of Devgana village, he was serving with the Central Reserve Police Force at the time.

CRPF personnel paid tribute to the fallen jawan with a Guard of Honour during the ceremony.
