Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his greetings and best wishes to all devotees on the commencement of the 723rd Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. He said that India’s spiritual and cultural traditions have, for centuries, been enriched by the values of love, compassion, service and mutual harmony. Through their teachings and lives, Sufi saints have shown society the path of humanity and mutual respect.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya also played an important role in carrying forward India’s great spiritual and cultural tradition. His teachings continue to inspire humanity, social harmony and respect for every individual even today.

PM Modi said that the spirit of human welfare, social harmony and respect for every person is also an important part of India’s national values. Today, India is moving towards building a developed and self-reliant nation while carrying forward its rich heritage and cultural values.

He said that the government is continuously working to ensure that the benefits of development reach every family in society and that citizens have greater access to convenience and opportunities for progress. In this journey, collective efforts and the spirit of unity remain the country’s greatest strength.

The Prime Minister further said that the Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya is an important occasion to remember his teachings and dedicate oneself to the causes of service and harmony. The Sufi tradition has enriched India’s shared cultural heritage through music, literature and popular culture.
