Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said India’s global partnerships are being strategically designed to create opportunities for the country’s youth, asserting that international collaborations in technology, manufacturing and innovation will generate large-scale employment and global exposure for young Indians.

After virtually distributing appointment letters to more than 51,000 recruits under the Rozgar Mela initiative, Modi said leaders of major global corporations and governments he met during his recent five-nation tour expressed strong confidence in India’s youth and technological capabilities.

“The world wants to become part of India’s development journey,” the prime minister said, adding that the objective of India’s international engagements is to ensure employment opportunities and global exposure for the country’s young population.

Referring to his recent visits to the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy, Modi said India had strengthened partnerships in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, green technology, maritime infrastructure, defence and critical minerals.

He highlighted the agreement between Dutch semiconductor company ASML and Tata Electronics, saying it would create thousands of jobs and strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain.

The prime minister also pointed to India’s collaborations with Sweden in AI and digital technology, and with the UAE in supercomputing, saying such initiatives would further expand opportunities for Indian youth.

Modi said sectors such as clean energy, green hydrogen, sustainable manufacturing and critical minerals are witnessing rapid growth globally, and India’s cooperation with countries like Sweden, Norway and Italy would help build future-ready industries in the country.

“These partnerships are opening the doors to a new economy and new opportunities,” he said.

He also underlined the importance of maritime and shipbuilding partnerships with countries such as the UAE and Norway, saying they would strengthen India’s shipbuilding ecosystem and benefit engineers, technicians and skilled workers.

Addressing the newly recruited government employees, Modi said they would play a significant role in realising the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.

“You are going to take up responsibilities in sectors such as railways, banking, defence, health and education. In the coming years, your contribution will be important in fulfilling the dream of a developed India,” he said.

The prime minister said India’s growth story is being driven by investments in infrastructure, technology and manufacturing, which are creating new employment opportunities across sectors.

Highlighting India’s emergence as a major electronics manufacturing hub, Modi said the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme has boosted domestic production and generated millions of jobs.

He also noted that India has become the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 2.3 lakh recognised startups, and said youth from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities are increasingly contributing to innovation and entrepreneurship.
