The Uttar Pradesh Police seems to be in a major image makeover drive, at least that is what the latest images posted on social media suggest. The human face of the police was seen in many places during Ramazan and Eid-ul Fitr through clips ad images posted on social media. Policemen were seen helping civilians in many places.

In an incident, the police officials were seen helping a wheelchair-bound elderly person reach the mosque as he was stuck on a road littered with construction material in Kaushambi on the day of Jumat-ul Vida.

The video clip of the policemen lifting the man in his wheelchair up to the mosque was posted on Twitter and it was shared and liked by a lot of people

Many more similar heart-touching stories came to the fore on the day of Eid.

Commenting on one such incident Amar Ujala's photojournalist Mohammad Imran said: "This is what India wants."
ACP Tripurari Pandey of Kanpur city was on the duty at the Idgah. After the prayer, when a balloon seller was seen leaving for home so that he could celebrate Eid with his family when suddenly a big group of children besieged him to buy balloons.

Sensing the trouble that the balloon seller was in, ACP Tripurari Pandey on duty in the area bought all his ballons and distributed one each to the children. This way, the ballon sellers could earn some money, and yet he didn’t have to wait for selling balloons.

While handing over ballons to children, Pandey said, “Eid Mubarak.”

A local journalist working for Navbharat Times Praveen Mohta shared the video of this incident on Twitter and wrote:

The balloon seller wanted to celebrate Eid by going home, the condition was to sell the balloon. It was the insistence of the children that Eid would be celebrated with a balloon. The police found a middle way and bought balloons and gave them to the children. Happy Eid !!! ACP Tripurari Pandey."

Children thanked him as the ACP handed over balloons to the children and they called him “Inspector sahib.” The officer smiled and said, “Don’t address me as Inspector, just call me Uncle."

Another heartwarming incident has been reported from Loni Katra of Barabanki. On the day of Eid, Station House Officer Gajendra Pratap Singh was seen distributing new clothes to the children whose parents couldn’t afford these.

Photojournalist of Hindi newspaper Amar Ujala shared the video of SHOs act on Twitter and  said:

"The mosque is far away from home, let's make a crying child laugh. This is Barabanki Loni Katra Police Station President Gajendra Pratap Singh, who is wearing new clothes to poor children with his hands on the day of Eid. So should."

Once again, this video has become viral with a large number of people liking and sharing it. Mohammad Arbaz has written in response - "Salute to such a police officer who is giving the message of peace and love."
