Khan Academy sends 517 to Civil Services

The percentage of Muslim candidates in the Union Public Service Commission results declared late on Friday may be lower this year, but Khan Study Group stood out as the best coaching academy for the coveted service with 517 of the 761 selected candidates having been coached in it.

The Civil services topper Shubham Kumar of Katihar, Bihar, was also studying in KSG.

Khan Study Group is an English medium coaching institute. Its director Afzal Khan, who lives in Delhi is more popularly known as Dr. Khan explains the difficult issues in a simple way. It has a branch in Patna that is looked after by Ashraf Khan.

Ashraf Khan told Awaz-the Voice that according to the information so far, “517 candidates have been successful from our institute. I have not been able to verify how many Muslims are there. We do not see this success through the prism of Hindu-Muslim.”

Dr. Khan is reaching Patna to celebrate the success of the institute. Apart from Patna, KSG centers are also located in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur, Bhopal, Indore and Ranchi.

Shubham Kumar had been taking coaching from KSG's Mumbai center.

Dr. Khan's specialization is in general studies. Special classes are organized by the institute from time to time.

Shubham Kumar not only made Bihar proud by getting the first position in the UPSC result, he reminded of Amir Subhani. Former Home Secretary of Bihar and presently Development Commissioner, who was the first All India topped in the Civil Services from Bihar in 1987.

After him Sunil Varnwal in 1997 and Alok Ranjan Jha topped in 2000.

Congress MLA Shakeel Khan said it is a proud moment for Kadwa, the town to which the topper Shubham Kumar belongs to.

Shubham Kumar, a B.Tech graduate from IIT Mumbai, is the son of Devanand Singh and Poonam Singh, branch manager of North Bihar Gramin Bank. He did his education from elementary to 10th from Vidya Vihar Residential School and later completed his 12th from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, Jharkhand.

Altamash Ghazi of Samastipur district has become an IAS by bringing 282 ranks. Altamash Ghazi, the former in-charge principal of RSB Inter Samastipur, and son of Imteyaz Ahmed has brought laurels to his family.

People are flocking to the Samastipur house to congratulate Altmash on his success.

Faisal Raza of Maulanadih Rajgir is another Muslim candidate selected in the UPSC.

Sadaf Chaudhary of Haridwar has secured first position among Muslim candidates. Sadaf's father is a bank manager, and the mother a homemaker. Sadaf has become successful through self-study and did not attend any coaching center.
