Newly appointed BJP national working president Nitin Nabin on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Vice President C P Radhakrishnan at the latter’s official residence in the national capital. The meeting marked one of Nabin’s early high-profile engagements following his elevation to a key organisational role within the Bharatiya Janata Party.

The Vice President’s Secretariat later shared photographs of the interaction, highlighting the cordial nature of the meeting. While no official details of the discussions were disclosed, the meeting is being seen as a significant gesture reflecting institutional courtesy and dialogue between senior constitutional authorities and the leadership of the ruling party.

Nitin Nabin was appointed as the BJP’s national working president on Sunday, a move that underscores the party’s growing emphasis on organisational experience and leadership drawn from its state units. At 45, Nabin is among the younger leaders to hold a prominent position at the national level, signaling the BJP’s intent to combine experience with generational change in its leadership structure.

A seasoned politician from Bihar, Nabin has built a strong political career over the years. He is a five-time Member of the Legislative Assembly and represents the Bankipur Assembly constituency, one of the key seats in the state. Known for his grassroots connect and administrative acumen, he has also served twice as a minister in the Bihar government, handling important portfolios and gaining experience in governance and policy implementation.

Within the BJP, Nabin has been recognised as an effective organiser and a leader with a deep understanding of both electoral strategy and party organisation. His appointment as national working president is expected to strengthen the party’s organisational machinery ahead of upcoming electoral challenges and internal restructuring.

Political observers believe that Nabin’s elevation reflects the BJP’s confidence in leaders from eastern India and its continued focus on expanding and consolidating its presence across regions. His meeting with the Vice President is seen as part of his transition into a national role, as he begins engaging with senior leaders and constitutional authorities.

As Nitin Nabin takes on his new responsibilities, expectations remain high regarding his contribution to the party’s organisational strength and its broader political strategy at the national level.
