Arunachal Pradesh is set to enhance its disaster response capabilities with 152 trained National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets prepared to support authorities during emergencies, officials said on Thursday.
The cadets completed specialised training at an annual camp held at Dera Natung Government College, aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and emergency management.
According to an official statement, the programme combined classroom instruction with hands-on training in areas such as basic search and rescue, first aid, casualty evacuation and coordination with civil administration.
The training also focused on disasters commonly affecting the region, including earthquakes, floods, landslides and cloudbursts.
