Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated "Shanti Shikhar" of Brahma Kumaris, a modern centre for spiritual learning, peace, and meditation in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, as part of the state's silver jubilee celebrations marking 25 years of its formation.
The inauguration took place at Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, shortly after PM Modi interacted with around 2,500 children successfully treated for congenital heart diseases under the 'Gift of Life' programme at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital.
During his address at the event, the Prime Minister highlighted the pivotal role of Brahma Kumaris in the Viksit Bharat (Developed India) movement, stating, "In the Viksit Bharat movement, the role of Brahma Kumaris is important. I have been associated with them for years. I have observed your efforts with great seriousness. I have experienced that where words are less, and the spirit of service is more."
PM Modi also paid emotional tributes to spiritual leaders associated with the organisation, saying, "Janki Didi and Rajyogini Dadi Hridaya Mohini--these are special people in my life."
PM Modi addressing the Brahma Kumaris, emphasising the critical role of inner peace and positive thoughts in achieving global harmony, while highlighting India's emergence as the world's 'First Responder' in times of crisis.
"Your initial address starts with Om Shanti... In the pursuit of global peace, thoughts hold equal significance to practical measures and initiatives. Currently, Bharat is earnestly working to embrace this responsibility," said the Prime Minister
Highlighting India's proactive role in global humanitarian efforts, PM Modi said, "Whenever a crisis arises anywhere in the world today, whenever a disaster strikes... India steps forward as a reliable partner to provide help. India is the First Responder... We raised our voice on nature conservation; here, even rivers are considered mothers."
Drawing from India's spiritual heritage, the Prime Minister said, "We are those who see Shiva in every living being. We are those who see the All in the Self. In our tradition, every religious ritual concludes with this proclamation -- May the world prosper! May goodwill prevail among all beings."
Further, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial & Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum at Raipur, launch the Museum Portal, and release the e-book "Aadi Shourya," showcasing the state's rich history and heritage of freedom fighters, as well as the legacy of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the communities.

Thereafter, the Prime Minister is also set to inaugurate the New Building of Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha and unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
