Jabirul Hasan and Asina from the village of Palode near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, presented a unique gift to their guests on their wedding day. They gifted a copy of the Constitution of India to the guests, and also to each other.

During the wedding ceremony, the guests were given a brochure along with a copy of the Constitution. The brochure explained the importance of the Constitution. The couple said everyone should read the Constitution and follow it.

The preamble of the Constitution was also displayed at the wedding ceremony. After the ceremony was over, Hassan and Asina gifted each other a copy of the Constitution and read a passage from it.

The wedding ceremony concluded with the National anthem.

Hassan has worked in the 'Comprehensive Constitution Literacy Project' implemented by the Kollam District Panchayat. This project inspired him to spread awareness about the Constitution.

Hassan is also the treasurer of the NGO 'Constitution Literacy Council'.

In 2022, Hassan was selected as a 'Senator' for the Constitution Literacy Project. He organised interaction sessions in colleges and many events and conducted classes for students and the general public in the Kollam district.

On this initiative, Hasan said, "We aim to make people aware through this initiative. We want to convey that the values ​​of the Constitution should be a part of our family life. Not only I, but my wife Asina is also interested in this subject. As soon as I put forth the idea, she agreed. Our families also gave us a lot of support."

Asina said, "In this age, it is the duty of every Indian to protect the Constitution. So, we decided to start our lives by gifting everyone a copy of the Constitution on this most important day of our lives."

The guests present at this unique wedding also appreciated the move. One of them said, "Only when constitutional values ​​are spread throughout the society will it help in building a better country. Therefore, we appreciate Hasan's decision. Hasan is the treasurer of our organisation. We wanted them to gift each other a copy of the Constitution so that their wedding would be an example for others. We had put up the preamble of the Constitution at the entrance and distributed pamphlets containing constitutional values ​​to all the guests."

Another of the organisers said, "Our group may be the first to gift a copy of the Constitution at a wedding. Two years ago, a member of our group did the same at his wedding."
