Narendra Modi arrived in Oslo on Monday as part of his four-nation European tour, where he is scheduled to hold high-level discussions with Jonas Gahr Støre on trade, technology, investment, and other areas of strategic cooperation.
Modi reached Norway from Sweden and was received at the airport by Prime Minister Støre along with senior leaders of the Scandinavian nation.
This marks Modi’s first official visit to Norway and also the first visit by an Indian prime minister to the country in 43 years.
During his two-day stay, the prime minister is also scheduled to meet King Harald V and Queen Sonja, in addition to holding bilateral talks with Prime Minister Støre.

According to India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the visit will provide an opportunity for both nations to review progress in bilateral ties and explore new avenues for cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, technology, and other key sectors.
