Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bengaluru on May 10 to participate in the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living Foundation, officials said on Saturday.

Founded in 1981 by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the organisation has grown into a global volunteer-driven humanitarian and educational movement with a presence in 182 countries.

According to officials, the prime minister is scheduled to arrive at HAL Airport at around 9 am before attending a felicitation programme organised by BJP functionaries.

Later in the day, Modi will take part in the organisation’s 45th anniversary celebrations, which will also mark the 70th birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

During the event, the prime minister is expected to inaugurate the newly built Dhyan Mandir, a meditation hall designed as a dedicated space for spiritual practice, inner peace and holistic wellness.

He will also launch a series of nationwide service initiatives by the organisation, including year-long programmes focused on mental health, rural empowerment, environmental conservation and broader social development.

Ahead of the visit, Bengaluru City Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement during the high-profile event.
