Raju Srivastava breathed his last on Wednesday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. The comedian who has a great fan following is now being remembered for his evergreen comic acts.
For many he was the one who started the trend of stand-up comedy. Twitter was flooded with condolences texts. Prime Minister Modi expressd his condolences at the comedian's demise

Sunil Pal, the comedian who won the first season of 'The Great India Laughter Challenge', where Raju Srivastava was the first runner-up, said his late friend was justifiably called the 'King of Comedy'.

Comedian Bharti Singh expressed her shock and grief while talking to an Indian news agency, "I am at the shoot and have to make everyone laugh, but I don't know how to do it. I am in pain but even then I can't say this to anyone that I want to cry."
"I have watched his movies and as a comedienne I learned a lot from him, but now who is going to guide us when the king of comedy is no more. I watched him on 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge', he inspired me a lot. It's a great loss for the entire country. I don't have words to express how I am feeling right now", she added.
Kiku Sharda called it a huge loss to the country.
