White snow-covered mountains and bone-chilling cold silence the border region. Amid this calm, a voice echoes: “We will fast and we will guard the border. We are soldiers; we keep our promise.”

These words belong to soldier Sahil. When his video surfaced on social media, it filled every Indian heart with pride. Fasting for 13–14 hours while firmly holding a rifle in hand shows how Indian Army soldiers weave faith and duty together.

Guarding the border is never easy. Standing alert with an empty stomach and parched throat while keeping watch on the enemy is like chewing iron grains. Yet these soldiers perform their duty with remarkable determination.

For ordinary people living in cities, suhoor and iftar are like celebrations. Homes are filled with food, fruits, milk, and delicious dishes. But the life of soldiers deployed on the border is very different. A viral video of soldier Abdul Jabbar shows him sitting in his barracks with his fellow soldiers. There is no lavish food on the plate only simple, leftover bread and rice. Smiling, he tells the public to complete their suhoor while they manage with whatever simple food they have. This simplicity and dedication to the nation set them apart. For them, the safety of the country is more important than fresh food.

Social media is filled with such videos these days. One thing remains common in all of them, every soldier is wearing the army uniform while carefully keeping their location hidden for security reasons. This shows their professional discipline. The most heart-touching moment is the end of these videos, where soldiers say “As-salamu alaykum” followed by “Jai Hind.” They want to tell the world that being Muslim and being a proud Indian soldier are two sides of the same coin.

This report proves that every soldier of the Indian Army is first an Indian. For them, the fragrance of the nation’s soil is more precious than any perfume. Whether it is Abdul Jabbar eating stale bread on the border or Saleem sharing iftar with his friends, they all are guardians of India’s shared culture. The tricolor on their uniform is the heartbeat of their identity. They show that a true Muslim is one who does not hesitate to sacrifice for the nation.

These videos are not just clips, they are living documents of patriotism. These soldiers stand as role models for today’s youth, showing how duty and faith can coexist.

Today, while the country celebrates Ramadan festivities, these border guardians remain hungry and thirsty, praying for our safety. Their sacrifice and dedication strengthen the foundation of this nation. Their slogan of “Jai Hind” is powerful enough to terrify any enemy. They are not just guarding borders, they are writing a living story of India’s unity and integrity with their sweat and blood.
