Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is recovering well and is likely to be discharged from the hospital within the next one to two days, doctors said on Friday.
The 79-year-old was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday night after developing a fever.
Hospital chairman Ajay Swaroop said her condition has improved significantly and she is stable. He noted that she is active, has resumed normal routines like walking, and is responding positively to treatment.
Doctors treating her said she is being managed for a systemic infection and is showing good response to antibiotics. A team of senior medical professionals continues to monitor her condition closely.

Sources indicated that she may remain under observation briefly as a precaution, but her health is not a cause for concern.
