Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin on Friday held discussions with leaders of alliance partners to assess the electoral scenario and review preparedness ahead of the counting of votes for the Assembly elections scheduled on May 4.
The meetings came shortly after Stalin’s return from a four-day stay in Kodaikanal. Since his return, he has held multiple rounds of consultations with senior party functionaries to gather feedback on the political situation and campaign performance across different regions of the state.
Continuing the review exercise, Stalin met Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K Selvaperunthagai and Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK) general secretary E R Eswaran at the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, in Chennai.
According to party sources, the discussions also focused on arrangements being made by alliance candidates and party workers to closely monitor the counting process in their respective constituencies. KMDK is contesting two seats using the DMK’s election symbol.
Several senior DMK leaders, including deputy general secretary A Raja, organising secretary R S Bharathi, communications wing head T K S Elangovan, and IT wing secretary T R B Raaja, were present during the interactions.
