Mumbai woke up to bright sunshine on Friday morning after days of overcast skies and heavy rains, although the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast occasional light to moderate showers in the city and suburbs later in the day.
The city recorded negligible rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8 am on Friday, with the island city receiving 0.34 mm of rain, the eastern suburbs 0.75 mm and the western suburbs 0.16 mm, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
High tide is expected at 8.22 am at 3.69 metres and again at 7.17 pm at 3.51 metres, while low tide will occur at 1.53 pm at 2.35 metres and at 2.13 am on Saturday at 0.93 metres, the BMC said.
