The Army on Saturday uncovered a terrorist hideout in a remote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a pistol along with other logistical supplies, officials said.
According to the Army’s White Knight Corps, the hideout was located inside a natural cave in the general area of Hari Budha bowl during a search operation.
Troops were conducting systematic checks of suspicious spots, including cave-like formations, when they discovered the concealed shelter. During the operation, security personnel seized a pistol, clothing items and food supplies believed to have been stocked for operational use.
The Army said the successful detection of the hideout highlights sustained surveillance and proactive area domination measures in the region.
