Today is the 14th anniversary of the Mumbai terror attacks. On November 26, 2008, 10 terrorists belonging to the banned Lashkar-e-Toiba made their way through the sea-route from Pakistan to India’s commercial capital, Mumbai and launched attacks on some of the most iconic places in the city.
At the end of the 3-day siege more than 160 people including many foreign nationals lost their lives.
Among the places which came under attack was the Taj Palace Hotel opposite Gateway of India, the Oberoi Trident Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, Chabad House and the Leopold Café.
9 terrorists were killed and one, Ajmal Kasab who was caught alive was hanged to death in 2012.
Leading tributes to the victims today was President Droupadi Murmu and External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar who demanded bringing the masterminds of the attacks to justice.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while speaking on the occasion Constitution Day in New Delhi, spoke about the dastardly attacks and remembered the victims.

Many people have taken to social media to share their pain with the victims and pay tributes to the valiant security personnel who lost their lives in the operation.
Naor Gilon, Israeli amabassador to India tweeted his picture at the Chabad House.
