The administration told 'Awaz the Voice' that the main purpose of Islamic institutions is to circulate, publish and serve the religion, but it is the responsibility of Islamic scholars to meet modern demands and urgency and to spread Islam with tools and wisdom. Importantly, Islamic education is incomplete without modern education. Therefore, the department of school education was established from the beginning of Zia Uloom.

Maulana Wahid says that it has often been observed that modern education helps motivate students to Islam.

In the modern education system, Islamic education like Theology, Arabic, Holy Quran, Nazra, and Islamic courses are being imparted to the students. He says due to quality education, people from all over J&K are seeking admission for their children to Jamia Zia Uloom School.
