Chand Basha, a Muslim man from Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district is taking care of 450 cows. He is also a well-known manufacturer of various products sourced from animals.
Chand Basha's ancestors have also been protectors of cows. His grandfather Hussain had started the practice with one cow and today the family has 450 cows, progeny of the one bought by the grandfather. Therefore the practice of cow rearing has been going on in the family for decades
Chand Basha’s family makes full use of cow dung by converting it into organic manure that is then sold in Singapore, Dubai, the USA, and many states of the country. Every month, Chand Basha makes more than 2 lakh cow dung cakes which are sold online.
Chand Basha’s family lives in the Bantupalli village of Devarakonda Mandal of Kurnool district. He has two daughters and a son. His parents, wife, and children all take care of the cows.

He is such a genuine lover of cows that he allows calves to suckle their mothers and only takes the leftover milk from the animals. Thefamily sells ghee and other milk products and these are in high demand for the manufacturing of Ayurvedic products and medicines.
Chand Basha told Awaz-the Voice that his family has been protecting cows for decades. He said that the cow is an innocent animal. “Everyone should work for the protection of cows. He said that through cows we get pure milk, ghee, butter which is essential for a healthy life,” he said.
Chand Basha said he may not be rich but he and members of his family are rich in terms of health because they consume pure milk and yogurt. He said that beef is harmful to health while milk, yogurt, etc. are the guarantors of health.

Although Chand Basha has studied till 10th class, he has done an Ayurvedic course due to which he is manufacturing products from cow urine and dung. He also supplies natural manure abroad on orders.
The cow dung cakes made by him are supplied to many cities like Tirupati, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai for religious rituals. Chand Basha also uses cow by purifying it by heating and mixing basil etc. These products are in great demand online.
Chand Basha wants to set up a cowshed for the protection of cows. Right now he has more than 400 cows and it’s becoming difficult for him to manage them. He also faces problems in the manufacturing of products. He is working on setting up a Gaoshala and has applied for a loan from a bank. Chand Basha admits he needs financial support for his project.

The medicines prepared by Chand Pasha are extremely useful for diabetes, stomach ailments, jaundice, weight loss, epidemic fever. All his medicines are certified by the Ministry of AYUSH. He also manufacturers phenols, oils for joint pain relief, toothpaste.
Chand Basha is very famous for his protection of cows. Famous Telugu film star Pawan Kalyan is among the people who have publically praised him.
