On June 21, 2025, Rahat Welfare Foundation celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm at its centre, bringing together students, youth, and community members for a powerful yoga session aimed at promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Rahat Welfare Foundation, a non-profit organisation working for the past 15 years, has been a pioneer in educating and empowering dropout girls through education, skill development, and holistic support.
The highlight of the event was a special yoga session conducted by renowned experts, Minakshi, a certified yoga trainer, and Yash Shekhar, a yoga expert and Asia Book of Records holder, known for his incredible feat of holding his breath underwater for 4 minutes and 14 seconds without moving a muscle.

Both experts guided participants through yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, with Yash Shekhar’s live demonstration of advanced yoga postures leaving the audience deeply inspired. Chairperson Ms. Sana Khan opened the event with a motivational address, emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life.

The session also highlighted key yoga benefits such as improved flexibility, emotional balance, stronger immunity, enhanced concentration, and inner peace. Over 50 participants took part in the event, which concluded with certificate distribution and healthy refreshments.
