Janhvi Kapoor turned heads with her elegant ethnic look as she attended the wedding reception of her cousin Anshula Kapoor and entrepreneur Rohan Thakkar. The actor chose a sophisticated mauve ensemble that beautifully blended classic Indian craftsmanship with modern styling, making it one of the standout fashion moments from the celebration.
Held on July 7, the reception brought together family members, close friends and several personalities from the film industry. For the occasion, Janhvi opted for a richly woven mauve silk saree featuring delicate embroidery and ornate borders. Draped in a traditional style with neatly arranged pleats and a gracefully placed pallu, the outfit exuded understated luxury.
Adding a contemporary edge to the timeless silhouette, Janhvi paired the saree with a strapless blouse that complemented the soft colour palette. She further accentuated her look with a matching embellished waist belt that enhanced the saree's elegant drape.
Her accessories reflected a royal aesthetic. Janhvi completed her ensemble with an elaborate gold choker, chandbali earrings, stacked bangles and statement rings, creating a look that balanced glamour with tradition.
Keeping her beauty look subtle, the actor chose soft pink eyeshadow and lipstick, lightly flushed cheeks and a radiant complexion. A tiny bindi added a traditional touch, while her sleek centre-parted braided bun perfectly complemented the overall outfit.
Meanwhile, Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar tied the knot on July 6 in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai. Moving away from the conventional bridal palette, Anshula wore a vibrant pink lehenga for her wedding. One of the most meaningful elements of her bridal attire was a 42-year-old gold tissue and zardozi dupatta that belonged to her late mother, Mona Kapoor.
Sharing the emotional significance of the heirloom on Instagram, Anshula revealed that carrying her mother's dupatta on her wedding day was always a deeply personal decision. She shared that every other element of her bridal look was designed around the treasured piece, making it the emotional centre of her ensemble.
