Actor Kriti Sanon has revealed her fondness for experimenting with hairstyles, admitting that she often gets bored with her look and enjoys trying new styles.
During an appearance on the sixth season of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want, Kriti spoke about her hair preferences, her impulsive styling decisions and her experience of preparing for different film roles.
When Kareena asked whether she preferred long or short hair and straight or wavy styles, Kriti said she favoured wavy hair. Although she loves long locks, she rarely lets her hair grow out and frequently opts for shorter styles.
Kareena observed that Kriti is usually seen with shoulder-length or mid-length hair. The actor pointed out that she sported short hair in Crew and revealed that even her hairstylist worries about her spontaneous decisions.
Kriti recalled cutting her hair into bangs just two months before beginning work on a film. The unexpected change left the director surprised. She had assumed the fringe would grow out before filming began, but it did not. While she enjoys short hair, she feels it offers fewer styling options and can leave her impatient for it to grow.
Beyond hairstyles, Kriti recently spoke about her personal growth and evolving confidence at the NDTV World Summit 2026, during a session titled The Making of a Modern Star.
Discussing her role in Cocktail 2, she explained why she felt ready to perform a bikini scene for the first time after making her debut with Heropanti 12 years ago.
Kriti said she has always been her own toughest critic and tends to focus on whether she has given her best performance. For her, appearing in a scene that requires revealing clothing involves more than physical fitness; feeling comfortable and confident in her own body is equally important.

The actor said the role came at a stage in her life when she felt ready for the experience. She acknowledged that she would not have considered doing such a scene several years earlier, but growing older and gaining confidence changed her perspective.
Kriti added that she is now comfortable wearing a bikini even outside her professional life, including at the beach. She described the opportunity in Cocktail 2 as well-timed, reflecting her personal evolution and growing self-assurance.
